Expert Code of Conduct
1. Conflicts of interest
Disclose any conflict before accepting an engagement and decline engagements that conflict with existing duties.
2. Confidential and non-public information
Never share confidential or material non-public information belonging to current or former employers or clients.
3. Scope of practice and licenses
Advise only within the licenses and certifications you hold and maintain. Do not offer services on the "Services not offered" list.
4. Honest representation
List only accepted credentials, describe them accurately, never imply a credential or claim has been verified unless it shows a Verified on date, and never present yourself as an employee or agent of Peritelos. Experts may only offer services within their credential and license. Experts must not offer audit/attest work (CPA), investment advice without registration (CFP/CFA), legal advice without a license (everyone but attorneys), or any other regulated service they are not authorized to provide.
5. On-platform conduct
Keep communications, files and payments in the Peritelos workspace.
6. Professionalism and training
Respond promptly, meet SOW deadlines, treat clients with respect, and complete the annual compliance refresher.
