Dispute Resolution Policy
1. 48-hour review window
After an Expert submits a milestone deliverable, the Client has a 48-hour review window to approve it or open a dispute. If neither happens before the 48-hour review window closes, Stripe releases the milestone payment automatically.
2. Opening a dispute
The Client opens a dispute in the workspace within the 48-hour review window, stating which acceptance criteria were not met. The milestone payment stays on hold with Stripe.
3. Step 1: Good-faith resolution
The Expert has [X] business days to respond, revise the deliverable or propose a resolution.
4. Step 2: Platform mediation
If unresolved, Peritelos's team reviews the SOW, workspace logs and deliverables and decides whether the held milestone payment is released, partly released or refunded. This is an administrative decision about the platform transaction, not a judgment on the quality of professional advice, and is final as to that milestone payment to the extent permitted by law.
5. Step 3: Arbitration
Claims beyond the held milestone payment are resolved by binding arbitration administered by [ARBITRATION PROVIDER] in [VENUE], Georgia, unless prohibited by law.
6. First-milestone refund
Upheld disputes on Milestone 1 are refunded under [REFUND TERMS].
7. Records
All steps are logged in the engagement audit trail.
